Is it possible that they have so old rum stored?

How can we verify age?

These were released with almost same % as the Velier vintages?

It would be interesting to find out if Rum nation bought the casks in bulk or not.
I do remember reading that the 1989/1990 are the last old demerara casks they have.

Really pity that the solera term is being abused. They should name it as blend and offer info on % of components. A new Foursquare release came out at MoM last week. They had few bottles so i hope that they will replenish their stocks. We should hopefully have enough rum between all of us to survive any long term shortage!

Btw, cocktailwonk is mentioning that Longpond has not distilled for some time. Wonder how easy it is to start distilling again. Is there a point in time where the stills are impacted from.the non-use?
