The 15yo cask finished have landed in this side of the pond. Sorry but wont pay £99 for these. Has anybody tested then? Review on the rare cask collection. One seems to have additives. Can they just follow Velier .. just copy them. They are very expensive compared to IBs. http://rumcorner.blogspot.c...

Good point about the research Capt. Pot still.. Some people will like the bottles, some wont. Why most rum companies use glass instead? Is it safer or cheaper or better for marketing or for preservation or tradition? And are they using aluminium bottles or stainless steel? What kind of epoxy (BPA fr...

thanks mamajuana. The comments on the blog are very interesting to read. They never replied on his 2nd post. Personally I dont like anything that is NAS and premium in price. I would suspect that anything belonging to the British army/navy would have alot of paperwork related to it.. Irrelevant but ...

Look at Master of Malt as well. They might ship to US as well and they have the Caroni 74.
dont think we will find again such an old Caroni at such price.
They also have one of Bristol 90s Caroni and 3 Port Morant.

You can buy 5-6 of the Bristol PM 99 for the price of the DDL.
Velier was expensive but not to this extreme.
The will loose market share.

With the £ dropping compared to the $, you just have to wait for the next FOMC hike and then travel to UK (or EU) where there is a lot of Caroni to be found.

Whats the point of using these numbers if they dont mean years?
It sounds obvious that they are moving to NAS but want to pretend that they are not.

At least we start to know what is ok/aythentic and what is hiding behind lots of PR and flashy boxes/bottles.

If you like a blend, why not know the distilleries/ages/cask behind so you can understand better what you like and try to find similar/better expressions (MORE SALES). I never buy NAS, but when i read that this whisky has a g...
