I think this revision of the Black Bottle's packaging was more inline with the revision of Bunnahabhain, Ledaig (led-Chaig) and Tobermory by Burns Stewart Distillers, and to higher proofs and non-chill filtration as well, as they weren't particularly recommendable prior to the upgrading a few years ...

Yay! And more than that, I hope the health issues are no longer a threat to you or SueSea.

I'll raise a glass to good health and the return of the Rum Project, and since I've laid hands on Seale's, I think that should do nicely, eh wot? :D

NCY, you might be right about the taste of Camarena being jarring after trying T1 and La Forteleza...and with the bottle being cracked for the first time at the beginning of the event, that's nowhere near enough time to allow it to air out the chemical acetone components. As I think I mentioned, the...

I think I've mentioned in my introduction that tequila was my gateway into distilled spirits, and not in a frat-boy drink until you fall drunk way, either. Fast forward to last month, here in the burgh of Fresno there was mini tequila festival/event that yours truly checked out. Hey, it's been 7 yea...

Darek Bell interview in Fortune magazine, via CNN Money site

With a nod to writer Ms. Shelley DuBois, Darek had the right attitude towards distilling "But from the get-go, our mantra has been, "Let's be very different and stand out with our products." Ms.DuBois also has perfectly encapsulated Corsair's Triple Smoke Whiskey thus, " It's a s...

Bearmark, I'm surprised you didn't come back with a bottle of the excellent Breckenridge bourbon, since you were there. Cap'n, I suspect that more people were otu in the real world, having bbq and such, rather than being tied to their computer, like some hermits were (as I would have been were I not...

Not to be all nationalistic, but, only one liqueur from the USA? Where is Buffalo Trace with their bourbon liqueur that I got to sample about a year ago?

Maybe it's due to the limited market for it, but I would think that market has expanded a little by now. Gawd that was good stuff!

A little historical connection of person and place, the former being Charles Edward Stuart aka Bonnie Prince Charlie, and the place being Broadford, Isle of Skye, The Broadford Hotel, which lays claim to being the "home" of Drambuie the brand as we know it. Courtesy of undiscoveredscotland...

The link you posted for the Slowocktails came up as a dead one (appropriate considering the brand name for this rum, no?), but this one from April of last year seems to work, as well as give a look at the 2 other brands and their respective packaging. I'm intrigued that the Flashbang brand, which on...

That voodoo that you do, or, Dude, where's my Deadhead Rum?

I saw this today while browsing the local Bevmo!, and while I didn't buy it, I figure it would be worth posting on here to see if anyone else has seen this locally. If nothing else, could this be the other extreme of rum where, instead of purity of components, this is even more the gimmick than even...

Re: Whiskey Review: Redbreast 12

Redbreast 12: an Irish triumph My only criticism: Redbreast 12 is delivered at 40 proof - another 3 or 4% would be greatly appreciated. [/u]. Oh Captain, dear Captain, why have wishes that are on such a small scale? Dream big , my good man! Like 57.7%, aka Cask Strength! http://www.bevmo.com/Media/...
