At last...

Going back a few years and when I was more active here, I made several attempts to present the illegal alteration problem with rum, specifically sugaring and the addition of unlabelled flavorings. At that time, his attentions were elsewhere, obviously with whisky. No longer. By pure happenstance I was listening to Ralph expound on the very important issue of casking.

Casking - good, bad and ugly - is well known to whisky afficianados, but for rum? Not so much. Now I have no idea when or how Ralfy finally became aware but aware he is now of our long held rum concerns:
