Best Buy: Doorly's XO by Richard Seale

It's the economy, stupid!

If you don't know or appreciate Doorly's XO by Richard Seale, shame on you. Idiots - and Compleat Idiots for that matter - can read our review in the Barbadian section. Because you should have done this long ago, I refuse to even link it.

You're gonna have to exercise your mouse and forefinger for at least a second or two.

Doorly's XO is a fine, fine example of the Barbadian style and made by a man - Richard Seale, one of the few humanoids, male or female - who produces real, pure and unadulterated rum. And he does so with honesty and finesse. Mind you, this wonderful rum has always been a good deal, usually selling for around $20 or a tad more. It became a very good deal when the price was reduced to $19, and now...

$14.95!

Yup, you read that right. A truly great rum for Batshit prices. Now that is amazing. Now all my fellow idiots are surely asking, just how can that be? Is Doorly's XO (or any of the other Seale offerings) falling out of favor.

Hardly.

It's the economy, stupid! For all of the Preacher's spew about "...the noble spirit... rum", and the notation that rum remains one of the best deals in the universe, compared to the real noble spirits like fine whisky or brandy - well - the sales of rogue rum are off. This of course while the Batfolkers, et al, are overloading the shelves with cheaply made, but highly profitable spiced shit.

That a really wonderful sipping rum is now priced with these droppings is no doubt due to the fact that anyone short of hedge fund managers - ie the great mass of humanity - is worried about eating, much less sipping rum.

But this could be a good thing.

Maybe now the Shillery inspired, "...it's all good" monkeys will now have a chance to experience a real, pure and unadulterated rum like Doorly's XO. I can tell you this - Richard's strategy is working. The Total Wine salespeople have confirmed that his rums are leaping off the shelves, and they are happy to point you toward Seale's amazing offerings (which are many and equally pure).

It's the economy, stupid...
