This website was perhaps the first to give a really positive review for Old Monk XXX 7yo flavored rum. This extremely hard-to-find rum sells for just $15 here in our south Florida paradise, thanks to a couple of Indian importers who bring it in (I met one of them).
Yet while either denigrating or giving faint praise to this fine and authentic exoticly spiced Indian rum, the monkeys at the Shillery and the Canadian's wannabee site didn't have a clue as to what the XXX meant, or why it is applied to more than one Indian offering.
