A handy reference... in cubic inches
Like many others the "grading" of pipe, eg by Dunhill, is hard to understand, because the grade does not truly correlate with the volume of the chamber. Seems most pipe's bowl chambers are typically between 0.6 and 1 inch in diameter (with 0.75 common), but to various depths. Ergo, they are hard to compare.
Found this chart somewhere. Whether it helps or not...
