Eclipsed by Durbar
I was enjoying a nice bowl of Dunhill Durbar this morning while watching the Eclipse of the sun from my back garden. First time in my life that I've experienced an eclipse, quite a sight even better while enjoying a bowl and a coffee as well.

That's really special, Dai!
The only comparable thing that Sue Sea and I once experienced was the phenomena known as "The Green Flash". This is normally experienced at sea, or from the shore looking west out to sea under certain conditions. Down in the Keys many of the residents and visitors will gather shoreside (usually near a bar, lol) to celebrate sundown, and watch.
Under just the right conditions (cold front, clear) as the last bit of the sun drops into the sea you get a momentary but absolutely clear, quick green flash - like a distant traffic light turning green - but for just an instant. It is VERY rare to see one, and we watched for years when one day - voila! We watched the sunset, remembered not to blink and shazaam!
A green flash. We were so blessed - some people look for a lifetime and never see one. Here's what I mean...

And here's a green flash sunrise...
