HC Series Maduro Robusto:

$2.50, a lightweight maduro, at best an everyday smoke, an improvement over the Sosa, but mixed reviews.

Please recall the "10 for $10" Cigars Int'l special. This got you two each of 5 cigars, that sell from $2 to $10. We've already determined that the $1.99 Sosa Robusto was a completely unremarkable mild source of smoke, but little more. Loose, fast, good for weddings and new baby duty only.

The HC Series Maduro Robusto sells for just another 50 cents, and is well worth the few more pence, but is only marginally better. It is better made, tighter, better burn and is a bit more interesting. An initial vegetal effect - think celery leaf, but then it's almost completely a simply combination of wood and spice with an occasional light herbal note. Look, it's not bad (as was the Sosa) but it certainly isn't good. It starts somewhere but doesn't go anywhere else.

A much better choice for weddings and newborn celebrations, or for mowing the lawn.
