Idiot's Review: Stella Artois

Some time ago our good man Bear recommended four basic types of beer with which to become acquainted, including: Lager - thin, pale, sparkly with a mild bitter finish (e.g. Stella Artois or Yuengling Traditional Lager)
Our impression's are merged (Sue Sea and moi)...
There are time I like a good lager - sunny hot day, sailing or the beach, you know the scene. With pizza Sue Sea enjoys the ubiquitous Corona with a lime. (In that case, Tecate is my choice). At Oktoberfest it's a pitcher of Warsteiner.
The Stella presents as a slightly cloudy Spanish Gold, with a thin white head. We found a nice refreshing and light fruit aroma which reflected the palate of honeydew melon, a hint of Golden Delicious apple, and hint of lemon. Near the tail we enjoyed a mild nuttiness, which persisted in a modest aftertaste.
We both see the Stella Artois as a nice accompaniment to lunch, Asian or Mexican food. Refreshing, sparkly, medium light. This beer is nicely done, and at a lower price would be easy to buy; in this regard Bear's other suggestion - the Yuengling Lager - is $2 less at $5.99 for a half dozen.
