Question: How to approach cachaca?

Post by Capn Jimbo »

How to approach cachaca? And J-Lo...

. . . Image

One of the issues most of us have is limited access to cachaca. Later today I plan to take a spin through my favorite Indian run outlets (who have a MUCH better selection than the majors like Total Wine, etc.) and will post what I find there.

In the meanwhile here's what we have...

1. Batuque (pictured)

2. Mae de Ouro (thank you)

3. Velho Barreira

I'm sure most readers would benefit from a way to approach learning this category, keeping in mind what we can find, and hopefully at reasonable prices...

Obrigado!

Late addition:

At Total Wine: Olo Silver @ $17.99. In view of all the cachacas available here, can you put them in some kind of order with value in mind as well? Thanks...
