Although not really meant to be, or maybe not...

...Ralfy's latest #484 is exactly that: a master class. Do NOT hestitate, do NOT pass go, and absolutely positively watch this video. This substantial video also reveals a very special, blue corn craft bourbon. Ralfy is in a very reflective mood, and proceeds to reveal new personal information. If you wish, you can then skip ahead to 19:55 for more of the master class...

A MUST SEE!

Truly a wonderful, pleasant man and a real treasure to us all...

Well there's small, and then there's...

...small. Bacones uses 5 gallon micro's for months enough to get some quick wood, then wisely marries 10 or 12 of them in 50's and 60's. ADI's definition of "small" is 5 to 15 gallons. Cowdery cuts off small at 15 or less, and feels that "large" starts at 30 or 40.

It's very difficult to say, but in looking at the pics at the website, I'm going to take a flyer and estimate these "small" casks at around 30 gallons (see above) which has a much, much lower ratio that what most of consider small, which is 5 to 15 gallons.

Without transparent labeling or descriptions of barrels and protocol "small" is no more meaningful than "small batch" or "single barrel". I'm writing the distiller...
