Special Note: At one time I opened this section up to anybody, for anything (see below). But it wasn't long before this section became prey for penis enlargers and their ilk. Worse yet the brilliant but anonymous posts that I'd hoped for never materialized.
Are Guests simply moochers? Taking away pieces of my soul but leaving nada in return? Time will tell, but I've left the voting open to guests...

Some of the more well known registrants include a couple distillers, the Bilgemunky, the Queen of Rum, JaRiMi, wannabe Artic Wolf and the Preacher (under a fake name of course). Lurkers include the Burr Brothers, the Badassitor of Rum, and many others who populate the rather small world of rum commentary.
For the longest time I felt that guests - like small rodents - are best ignored, or humanely trapped and released. I keep a supply of bananas for the Shillery Monkeys, who are greeted with a hearty "Havabanana!", at least when I can remember to do so.
And now there's you.
I know the drill, been there myself. Registration takes time, you wonder whether - unlike ALL the other rum sites - I will accept yours. I might not. Some register thinking that by doing so they can access some special handshake sections, or access secret functions otherwise not available (there arent' any and they can't be).
You know better, and as much as you'd like to post and/or call me an idiot (or Compleat Idiot if you would), it's just not worth the hassle! Sensitive as I am - the Capn and The Compleat Idiot of Rum - to the plight of all living creatures I decided to address your special needs.
You: the special needs users - Guests! And the Preacher.
Accordingly this section is open game. You can post, reply, poll and in every way possible make a complete ass of yourself, or in the alternative post brilliant essays about rum (but then you'd register to get some credit, wouldn't you now?).
Remember: it's simple... fun... and entertaining. Aren't you? |
