Peppery tobacco Dept: No, REALLY peppery...

Pipes on the ships of old were nothing new. Tobacco and rum made their appearance in short order with tobacco inherited from American Indians and rum from the Caribbean. Smoking aboard ship was allowed by limited to a safe area and at safe times, ergo the "smoking lamp". Where? Usually near the Galley, as it is here. A huge thanks to the amazing da'rum - a man of high ideals and many talents. This is just one of them.

Something to try...

...is a peppery tobacco, actually a peppered tobacco, actually grinding actual pepper into the bowl as you're filling it. Check this out (from a review at tobaccoreviews.com):
"Mac Barens Navy Flake comes in a small neat tin in flake form. This is a very nice smooth smoke. I like this on its own but sometimes i prefer a little perique with my smoke.

Instead of using perique try adding some freshly milled black pepper to the bowl as you fill and you will be pleasantly suprised at the completely exotic smoke."
Who's gonna be first?

Don't know about using pepper with navy flake. Don't think I'll be trying it. I can recomment Mac Baren Navy Flake.
