How Caroni rum is valued...WTF!

Thanks to JaRiMi, one of the very few honest and rum knowledgable experts about - and an advocate of a Trinidadian style. The rum to cause this category: Scarlet Ibis.

Whiskyfun had a 1990-2007 bottling from Bristol Sp but now a 1990-2012 bottlng has appeared as well.
It will be interesting to understand why it was not labelled Caroni?

Btw, any idea what happened to the Caroni distillery equipment? Was it taken over by Angostura?
