So Dictador has issues few single cask selected by a master blender..
1978/79 till.82...
Is it possible that they have so old rum stored?
Could this be a pot still?
How can we verify age?

The sad truth is that unlike whisky and bourbon, there is no way we can believe any age statement for rum. None of it is stored under goverment supervision or seal. We are forced to trust the same distillers who cheat and alter their rums with unlabelled sugar, etc.
To make matters worse, it tend to be "oldest" and most expensive that are the most altered and colored. Frankly, there are only a very few distillers to whom I would extend any trust.
That's just the way it is. You pays your money, you takes your choice. On the positive side, all the Dictadors that have been tested show little or no sugar.
