100% pot still Foursquare rum?

Barbados: the defacto home of the original reference classic rum as we know it. God bless the Queen! And Mount Gay!

100% pot still Foursquare rum?

Post by Hassouni »

All this talk about purity, Richard Seale, etc, etc has led me to wonder - is there any rum made by Seal that's entirely pot-distilled? I remember reading about his various flagship products (10, Doorly's XO) that they're largely if not majority column still products.

Capn's Log: although most are blends, it would be presumptuous to determine the proportions without know the number and output of each. There are blends, and there are blends.

A video tour, and a website. St. Nicholas Abbey is made from fresh pressed cane juice, and pure pot distilled by RL...

Sounds like Barbancourt!

Edit: seems like it's not sold in the States either...

Got my hands on a bottle of Foursquare 2013 2yr old Pure Single Pot Still Rum last weekend. It's bottled as a collaboration between Richard Seale and Luca Gargano of Velier. Will be released in the EU very soon but not in the USA. You will have to work to get a bottle but IMHO it's woth the effort if you are a pot still fan.
