Best Tobaccoreview's reviewers?

Pipes on the ships of old were nothing new. Tobacco and rum made their appearance in short order with tobacco inherited from American Indians and rum from the Caribbean. Smoking aboard ship was allowed by limited to a safe area and at safe times, ergo the "smoking lamp". Where? Usually near the Galley, as it is here. A huge thanks to the amazing da'rum - a man of high ideals and many talents. This is just one of them.

Best Tobaccoreview's reviewers?

Post by Capn Jimbo »

Whose reviews do you follow, and why? Which major reviewers don't you like, and why?

Gracias...

I look at Tobacco reviews . com only and get a general feel through descriptions.
Glynn, G.L Pease et al are obviously worth listening too but with so many nuances to each blend and each packaging of a blend Tobacco reviews are very hit and miss compared to spirits.

oops I just came back to read this and realized I completely misread the question.

So,
I take some note of jiminks or whatever he's called and ROTHNH. Generally those that have a high review count and don't bang on about tongue bite.

The only exception is that Darum character, he's only got a few reviews but my god he's always spot on the money!

I tend to do the same with tobacco as I do with rum. I read and listen to reviews and then buy a sample From gqtobacco and see if I like it, if so I buy 25/50gram. I find it easier to do it this way.

I usually tack on a sample when I make an oder for other tobacco. I should have a sample of an aromatic latakia coming tomorrow with my order (GQ Blends - Chocolate & Vanilla).

Some great contributions here, thanks. I liked da'rum's recommendation of Jiminks (936 reviews, linked), as he has reviewed just about anything I'd consider. His reviews of the blends I've tried are consistent with the little I know. Da'Rum's other link is to guy who only has 11 reviews, but only of very highly rated tobaccos.

Dai, thanks again for some interesting links.
My favorite: Stuff and Things, well organized, a bunch of "how to's", et al. Mr. Jonathan is interesting and for some reason entitles many of his videos with the term "yapo" or "yabo"? I haven't a clue, Dai? I like his calm style and informational delivery.

Jonathanwant a bit of a herburt but he gives some good reviews.
yapo = yet another parcel opening
yabo = yet another box opening

I'm not a fan of them I grew out of that stuff years ago but, this is the internet and people will be people.
