Shake, rattle and roll Dept: Series of Quakes in Carib

One and uh, two and uh, three and...


My Carib newletter advised of 3 minor earthquakes - of magnitude in the 4's - within 15 minutes, emanating northwest of Barbados (in the Atlantic). This series followed a roughly 6.5 mag quake of a few days earlier. Apparently the scientists do not feel this portends a major event (think Port Royal), but then again they can't rule that out and it is entirely understandable that the islands in that general vicinity are a bit wary right now.

Personally, I'd feel a lot better if these were occuring closer to Puerto Rico or the USVI, lol...
