The second standard reference style: aromatic, robust and full flavored - it's absolutely dunderful. To our ships at sea! May they sink very slowly!

Had a Longpond bottle (rumcask 2000) and 2 bought samples from Monymusk (rattray 1986) and Hampden (silver seal 1993) so after a good dinner decided to try them.

I am really bad at this so sorry in advance..

Nose: Hampden is so much different from the other two. Much more earthy notes from Hampden. My partner who likes Islay whiskies was suprised about this being a rum. Longpond smells much smoother.

Mouth:
Longpond. Always liked this. Feels abit heat but this quickly goes and has a much smooth and mellow taste.
Monymusk feels abit rougher. Think I need to add water.
Hampden.. wow. Lemons, bitter but a biterness that goes quickly.

with water
Longpond not much change. Still easy to drink.
Monymusk much much better to drink.
The Hampden is very impressive. Bitter but what a different smell/taste.
