Hello,
i got a bottle of duquesne grand case here and someone told me that this bottle is more than 30 years old.
Is here someone who can tell me more about the age and the value of this bottle? I wrote already an e-mail to http://www.rhumdemartinique.com/duquesne/index_en.asp
but never had an answer.
I will put some pics in from the bottle if someone explains me how it works???
cheers
plover

Plover asked me to post these....
He estimates the age at about 30 years and wonders about the value. If you have any opinions or advice, please do help him out. My feeling is that unlike single malts, only a handful of old rums have any value, eg. the remaining original British Navy Rum, or perhaps a very old and clean Bacardi.
Thanks for your help...

When EBay allowed liquor sales older Rums went for good coin. Not sure where you would find a place to sell it today. Bonhams is one option but their fees are crazy high.My feeling is that unlike single malts, only a handful of old rums have any value, eg. the remaining original British Navy Rum, or perhaps a very old and clean Bacardi.
